At Bayside Power, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, we believe that a zip code should never determine a child’s future. That’s why we work closely with the Principal, Athletic Director, Student Counselors, and Educators of Bayside High School in Virginia Beach, VA, to identify graduating seniors who have shown academic success and personal determination—but who lack the financial means to take their next step: trade school or vocational training.
These students come from underserved neighborhoods. Despite these barriers, they have persevered, proven their potential, and now stand at the crossroads of what could be a life-changing opportunity.
